I succumbed and the rationalisation won.
“I’m almost 40 and I work hard. I can afford a nice watch and I’ve been making do with a cheap £20 Chinese ‘smart’ watch for the last few months, whilst I decided on which permanent new one I could justify buying myself”.
Well… *drumroll*… decision finally made. I just bought myself a shiny new Google Pixel Watch 4 (41mm – Wifi version).
I went with the champagne gold version and managed to get it cheaper through Amazon Resale (Used – Like new). I also bought these straps to pair it with. Should look awesome!
It’ll definitely be the fanciest watch I’ve owned. I’ve watched several youtube review videos and the screen looks gorgeous. The UI looks great too. I’m excited to play with the Wear OS 6 SDK and the Google Health API and see what I can do with it. Maybe code myself a widget for this website, showing daily step count or distance travelled.
